“Mrs. Lana,” as she is affectionately known, began a small Bible study for local high-school students in the living room of their home in tiny Bells, Texas, in 2017. What started with just a few teenagers quickly grew to more than 70 students — and today the weekly gathering regularly welcomes over 125 students. As the number of students grew, so did the vision for what Home Run Ranch could become.
Home Run Ranch is now a flourishing youth ministry serving hundreds of students from more than 20 area high schools. In addition to Bible study, students enjoy Wiffle Ball on a lighted turf field modeled after Fenway Park in Boston, as well as basketball and pickleball on a lighted court, ping pong, billiards, fishing, and multiple patio areas with picnic tables and a fire pit.
The newest addition — The Dugout — features a kitchen and concession stand, two restrooms, and a large meeting room that seats over 100 people. The space is available for party and corporate rentals, with all proceeds reinvested into the ministry to better serve students.
The mission of Home Run Ranch is simple and powerful: to provide a safe place for students to grow in their faith, build meaningful friendships, and have fun in a Christ-centered environment.
Lana is a former public-school teacher, and Stephen is a financial advisor who helps families develop personal financial game plans and specializes in retirement plans for businesses. Together, they share a deep commitment to faith, family, and community. The Newtons have one son, Eli — affectionately known as “Newty” (18) — along with a lively crew of pets that includes three cats, three dogs, two goats, and two turtles.
They are also passionate baseball fans, cheering faithfully for their three favorite teams: the Atlanta Braves, the Houston Astros, and the Boston Red Sox.

We meet nearly every Sunday night at 7:00 PM, and our doors are open to all high school students. We’re blessed to have students from many different schools—public, private, and home-school alike. Incoming freshmen may begin attending on the first Sunday evening after their 8th-grade year concludes.

Many different groups have made lifetime memories here at this unique venue. To help support the growing costs of the ministry, we allow outside groups to use the Wiffle Ball field and building for events when a supporting donation is made. Please email us for donation level amounts and availability.

Your support and contributions will enable us to reach more students and improve facilities.
Your generous tax deductible donation will help fund our mission.
